Testing at The Kid's Therapy Center

Testing for Whole-Person Mental Health

At The Kid’s Therapy Center, we believe every mind and body are connected. Sometimes the challenges we see in mood, focus, or energy have deeper roots — in hormones, nutrition, gut health, or even genetics.
Our advanced testing options help uncover those hidden pieces so we can create a plan that truly fits you or your child.

Each test provides a different lens into how your body and brain work together. Below you’ll find a simple overview of the tests we offer and what each can reveal. If you're unsure about which test is right for you, reach out to us or schedule a Wellness Consult to discuss symptoms, lifestyle changes, and testing options that are right for you or your child.

Functional & Genetic Testing for Holistic Mental Health

MindMap Genetic Analysis (with Dwight Franklin)

$1300

Purpose: Identifies genetic variations that affect neurotransmitter pathways, detoxification, methylation, and hormone metabolism.

What It Measures: SNPs related to nutrient conversion, detox capacity, mood regulation, and stress response.

Why It Matters: Provides a personalized blueprint of how an individual’s body processes nutrients, stress, and toxins. Each report includes a written summary and a one-on-one Zoom consultation with Dwight Franklin, who interprets findings and outlines specific nutritional and lifestyle support recommendations.

Food Sensitivity Test

$330

Purpose: To find foods that may be quietly triggering inflammation or mood changes.

What It Measures: Immune system (IgG) reactions to 190 common foods.

Why It Matters: Food sensitivities don’t always show up as stomach pain — they can look like irritability, brain fog, fatigue, or skin issues. Identifying trigger foods helps calm the body’s inflammation and can lead to improved mood, focus, and comfort.

Mosaic Organic Acids Test (OAT)

$425

Purpose: To get a snapshot of how your body is functioning on a cellular level.

What It Measures: Energy production, nutrient use, detoxification, and gut bacteria or yeast overgrowth.

Why It Matters: When these systems are off balance, you might see low energy, mood changes, digestive issues, or trouble focusing. The OAT test helps pinpoint what your body needs to work more efficiently — often leading to better mood, clearer thinking, and steadier energy.

Tiny Health Gut Test

$250

Purpose: To explore the gut-brain connection and see what bacteria are living in your digestive system.

What It Measures: Good and bad bacteria, markers of inflammation, digestion, and overall microbiome diversity.

Why It Matters: The gut makes many of the same chemicals the brain uses to regulate mood and energy. When the gut is off balance, the brain often feels it too. This test helps identify imbalances that may contribute to anxiety, irritability, or tummy issues — and gives a clear plan to rebuild a healthy gut.

Heavy Metal & Nutrient Elements Test

$235

Purpose: To check for both helpful and harmful elements in the body.

What It Measures: Levels of toxic metals (like lead, mercury, arsenic) and essential minerals (like zinc, magnesium, copper, and iron).

Why It Matters: Too much of a toxic element — or not enough of an essential one — can impact energy, focus, mood, and even detox pathways. Balancing these minerals supports brain health and overall wellness.

Neurotransmitter Test

$265

Purpose: To look at the brain chemicals that influence mood, sleep, motivation, and focus.

What It Measures: Neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, GABA, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and glutamate — all key messengers between brain cells.

Why It Matters: When these messengers get out of balance, you might notice anxiety, irritability, poor focus, sadness, or sleep troubles. This test gives a window into how your brain is communicating and helps guide gentle, natural ways to bring things back into balance.

Neurotransmitter & Hormone Test

$395

Purpose: To understand how stress and hormones work together to affect mood and emotional health.

What It Measures: Both neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine, GABA, norepinephrine, epinephrine, glutamate) and hormones such as cortisol, DHEA, progesterone, testosterone, and estradiol.

Why It Matters: This test helps us see the full picture of how the brain and body communicate under stress. Imbalances in these systems can lead to fatigue, mood swings, anxiety, or PMS/PMDD symptoms. Understanding your results helps us design a personalized plan to calm the nervous system, support hormone health, and improve overall well-being.
