Suicide Assessments
 

The Kid's Therapy Center was awarded a grant in the efforts to help assess for suicide and provide case management to families with high school students, with an emphasis on 9th and 10th grade students Studies have shown these ages is more likely to have thoughts and follow through with an attempt.

While this program was designed for implementation in schools, we are offering the assessment at our clinics or via telehealth. This service is free of charge for families who are interested.

This service through our clinic includes: 
  • Assessment using the Patient Health Questionnaire for Teens with scoring and evaluation by a licensed professional
  • Immediate follow-up information and education related to assessment results that may include but are not limited to:
    • Next steps planning
    • Referrals
    • Parent resources


This effort is associated with North Dakota's State Suicide Prevention Program, funded by the state of North Dakota and administered through the Department of Human Services (DHS), Behavioral Health Division (BHD).
