Jason Jonas, MS, LAPC, Counselor
Jason is a local counselor who believes therapy shouldn’t feel like a chore. He wants his office to be a comfortable and creative space where you and your child can be yourselves and build a real connection. With his background as an elementary school counselor, Jason knows that kids have big ideas and deep feelings, even if they don't always have the words to explain them.

Because children often "talk" through play, Jason uses tools like sandtray, art, and play therapy alongside traditional talk therapy. These activities help kids express themselves and work through challenges in a way that feels natural to them. In his work, Jason focuses on three core values—Accountability, Resilience, and Kindness (ARK). He also uses his training with the Search Institute to help kids build the "building blocks" they need to be successful and happy as they grow up.

Whether he’s working with a preschooler, a teenager, or the parents supporting them, Jason’s goal is to help families handle life’s ups and downs with confidence.

Jason is a local through and through. When he’s not at the office, you’ll probably see him at community events or cheering on BHS and UMary sports. He and his family love being outdoors—camping, hunting, and spending days on the river. He also enjoys biking trails, watching movies, and playing games.
