
Elizabeth Anderson, MS, LPC
Elizabeth was born and raised in Fargo, ND before moving to Bismarck in 2016. She graduated from the University of Mary with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Counseling in 2019. In 2021 she graduated from the University of Mary again with her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling.
Elizabeth loves working with clients of all ages to address concerns such as symptoms of depression, anxiety, defiance, low self-esteem, and suicidal ideation. Additionally, Elizabeth has specific experience with working with at-risk youth and their families, as well as victims of human trafficking. Elizabeth also enjoys working with clients who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
In practice, she utilizes experiential play therapy as well as art, sand tray, and talk therapies depending on the needs of the client. She is trained in evidence-based therapies like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Elizabeth has additionally received her certification to utilize the Flash Technique, which is a recently developed therapeutic intervention that is effective in reducing the disturbance associated with traumatic memories or overwhelming emotions.
Elizabeth is also one of the several staff members who have received training for the Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting Programs.
