Carissa Fenster, MS, LPCC
Counselor

Carissa graduated from the University of Mary in 2011 with her Masters in School Counseling and went on to complete her Masters in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Mary in 2020.

 

Carissa brings her passion for helping clients in session utilizing art, play, sandtray, and talk therapy. Carissa enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. Carissa’s approach to counseling is holistic, looking at the whole person: Mind, body, and spirit. She takes a person-centered approach to helping her clients. Carissa is easily able foster trust and a caring relationship in therapy. She has specialty for trauma with EMDR and Brainspotting. More Recently, she is going through the process of Animal Assisted Therapy and her bunny will be a co-therapist in sessions. 

 

When she is not working Carissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being involved with her church community, doing art and crafts, and playing volleyball.
