Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Helping you move forward without reliving the pain.

What is ART?
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses relaxing eye movements and guided imagery to help you process and move past distressing memories or feelings. It’s designed to bring relief quickly—often in just a few sessions—without requiring you to go into detail about the experience.

How It Works:
-
ART uses specific eye movement techniques to help your brain “reprogram” the way distressing memories are stored.
-
You remain in control of what you share; you don’t have to talk about the event in detail.
-
The memory stays, but the intense emotional or physical reaction attached to it is reduced or removed.

What ART Can Help With:
-
Trauma and PTSD
-
Anxiety and panic
-
Depression
-
Grief and loss
-
Phobias and fears
-
Relationship or family conflict
-
Self-esteem issues
-
Performance anxiety (school, work, sports)

Why People Choose ART:
-
Fast results—some people experience significant relief in 1–5 sessions
-
Does not require repeatedly retelling the traumatic event
-
Works well alongside other therapies like CBT or DBT
-
Focuses on empowering you to move forward with confidence

What to Expect in a Session:
-
Sessions last about 50–60 minutes
-
We’ll talk briefly about your goals and identify what you’d like to work on
-
Your therapist will guide you through gentle eye movements while you think about the situation or feelings you’d like to change
-
We’ll replace distressing images or sensations with ones you choose that feel peaceful and empowering

Is ART Right for Me?
ART can be helpful for children, teens, and adults. If you’re looking for a therapy that is effective, non-invasive, and doesn’t require revisiting painful memories in detail, ART may be a good fit.
