JJ enjoys working with kids to young adults, ranging from 2-21 years of age. JJ attended the University of Mary, earning A Bachelor in Science in Psychology in 202. He then completed a Master of Science in Counseling, with a concentration in clinical mental health, in 2022.

 

JJ specializes in non-directive talk therapy, traditional non-directive play therapy, sandtray and art. He is also able to utilize Brainspotting to assist clients in processing anxiety and traumatic events. Not only is JJ the lead therapist for our Lego Based Social Skills groups but he is the mastermind creator behind the program. He also has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. JJ loves to connest with kids of all ages with his approachable and patient nature. He believes in meeting the client where they are at with his flexible approach to client sessions.

In his leisure time, JJ enjoys snowboarding, cross country running, spending time with friends and family and lifting weights. He is an avid fan of Star Wars, the Minnesota Wild and building all things Lego.
