TKTC at Milestones provides an opportunity for individuals and families to receive Mental Health Counseling from licensed professionals from The Kid's Therapy Center at the Milestones Therapy clinic. This opportunity provides an additional location for individuals and families to receive mental health services. Mental health counseling for individuals and families can also be added in addition to receiving Speech therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Physical therapy at Milestones Therapy.  

When working with a Counselor and OT you may wonder how they both would benefit. An OT may tend to be more directive and focus on skill base where a Counselor may tend to be more nondirective and focus on play therapy to process feelings. It is not uncommon for a child to do both: OT and Counseling. OT and Counseling are most effective when both being done to address sensory and emotional struggles.
