Child counselors are in need of a variety of skills to help children overcome these challenges and achieve a better quality of life. One approach that has been gaining popularity in recent years is the use of art therapy. By combining artistic expression with counseling techniques, child counselors can support children in expressing their feelings in a creative and healthy way. Through the use of various art techniques, board games, and play skills children can build confidence, reduce stress, and develop new coping skills.
